Field Trip: Visit Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum and Anping Old Fort.
This year, we will go to Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum and Anping Old Fort.
The museum's main building was designed to invoke the three classical brush forms of ink painting. It consists of the Moyun Hall and Feibai Hall. The three shapes of brush also represents three ancient Asian civilization, which are China, India and Persia. It is also a certified green building.
The Anping Old Fort was built between 1624 and 1634 by the Dutch. As Taiwan was called Taiwan City, Anping Fort was also called King City, Chikan City and Anping City. After being rebuilt in the Japanese Colonial Period, it was named Anping Fort; it is a national historic site.
